suspension lift

Hi all,

need some advice here, i have done a 2" body lift and a 3" suspension lift on my Vitara

i have sorted the fuel hose, brake lines, wire loom etc and also removed the anti roll bar for better articulation, looking at the from drive shafts the angle going down to the front hub is quiet acute which gave some cause for concern, however onwards and upwards i went out to play

the first set of ruts i came up against ripped the body of the passenger side CV joint open like a tin of baked beans!! the whole joint was completely destroyed

am i missing something here,or is it just very bad luck on the first trip out!!

many thanks upfront

Phil

hi

thanks for responding real quick, diff drop bracket?

where must i go for such a thing, certainly dropping the diff would decrease the acute angle

thanks

Follow the vits for bits link. Sounds like that's what you're missing. Has a brief description of how it works on their website.

No idea about the poly bush, I actually drive an SJ. Sure some vitara owners will be along soon with more info, always worth a phone call to vits for bits and explain to them what you already have fitted and see what the recommend.

Jimnybits also do them, had a few bits and pieces from them. All seems spot on.

There might be someone breaking a vitara on the forum, other than that it's ring around local breakers yards. Don't think you'd get one from a motor factors and Suzuki won't be cheap.
