I have now discovered my sills are totally rotten. Is it easiest to cut out the rot and replace with box section and if so what size? thanks.

I used 100x100 mm box, but not the easiest to weld thick box to bodywork

Get the tyres size you want then do sills as once it's on it's a pig to cut

If you decide to go with box section sills I wouldn't go for anything thicker than 3mm ideally. I just used 90x90x3.6 I think for Johns.

Personally I prefer to rebuild the sills out of 1.2mm sheet on mine, welding on box section sills isn't the nicest of jobs.

They look good scottiej. Im a bit overwelmed with it all. Im trying to do one bit at a time but i keep seeing everything else!! Definitely prefer the box section but it does seem to be a lot of agro!!

Box section sill are relatively straight forward as body work go's. When i did mine it was the first time i had welded anything ever! I used 90x90 box section.
