Diff suggestions?

Hi everyone,

I'm coming close to finishing the welding on my sj, well for this mot, and a few mechanical things need looking at also. My rear diff has worn out beyond use, and so am open to fitting something more suitable for my larger wheels and tires, which I've only used a few times since buying them from dan in Swindon. And so the question remains, what should I go for?
The vitara ring and pinion swap seems fairly attractive, but I've also always like the idea of having diff locks and so am unsure on what to do. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. For the meantime a useable 413 rear diff would be awesome, if anybody knows of one. I'm using the sj less and less on road, but still want it drive able to get me to the mud.

I'm going Vit 4.3 r&ps with a chinasoong air locker. Already got the 4.1 t/box.

According to Dan thats idea gearing on 33s. He found 5.1s far too low on the road.

Thanks, that's good to know, you can go too low. I've 410 t box and a spare 413, and so rocklobster is on the agenda also. Currently I have rear disc conversion going on as well as the welding, cannot wait to see how much the setup improves braking performance. Any recommendations as to where to find vitara 4.3 r&p's?

3 speed Auto vitaras.

4.3s are perfect with 33s. My speedo reads exactly right when checked with a GPS.
