Front axle rebuild

Hey people aye took my sj410 with vit engine in for its mot otherday after a long time workin on it ion and off , knew it needed front seals n bearings, so i asked him how much labour ihe would charge to do it if i got the bits think was a full kit on ebay £73 n he said £100 , what yas think ? , as i dont want to etempt it myself and get stuck n am left wif it in bits lyk , thanks

It's not a bad price, it's not a terrible job to do, won't take long.

thanks av managed to get a lad I know who is a mechanic to give it ago he hasn't done 1 before but be ok , has anyone used the full kit for £73 off ebay before item num -111705255000 , thanks

410 axles aren't the same as Samurai axles - so I don't know if that kit will actually work. I *think* that kit is for a 413/Samurai. But I also don't know if the differences between axles (larger diffs, longer shafts) makes any difference to the bearings/seals.

The bearings and seals might be the same for all I know!

half way down the page its got one of them search your car things so I put my model and year in and it says its it will fit so hopefully be ok , thanks anton

I'm not certain that those things are always correct - but then, if the ad says it's correct and it's not, then ebay rules say they have to give you a full refund including postage costs both ways.

So you're not really risking anything if it's lying to you, other than *possibly* some time.

Everything from the knuckle out is identical.

Unless you have a very early 410 on front drums :lol:
