MOT number 2!
Everything that was wrong has now been put right!
However the handbrake mechanisms on the rover 600 calipers have seized due to lack of use (think i last used the handbrake for the mot last year

)
So a liberal coasting of wd, and ill wip them off tomorrow and free the buggers up and pray for
PASS
Then i just have to tax it, insure it, fuel it and build the 200 winch truck to replace it!

I wish my handbrake was that good. It failed on it, then passed on retest for me. The other day, I put it on a steep hill while unloading, and I noticed every time I took a crate out of the boot, it moved forward about 2 inches. That's after I adjusted it so that it's just off when the handle's down.

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

If your handbrake's on the prop like mine, I always figured that was just play in the rear diff. What I do like about that, is because there's no centre diff, when you're in four wheel drive you get a 4 wheel handbrake.

Well ive found the problem,
The arms on the Rover callipers are siezed in the off position. Liberal coatings of wd, a block of wood and a lump hammer has them working, but i shall take them off tomorrow and have a good go on them.
I never use the handbrake, i always leave in gear, or just where ever it stops. So i guess with lack of use they have stuck in the off position

yeah mine's on prop and yes having all 4 wheels lock is very handy at times especially when using it as an anchor for tree work or rope work
