Twiss' 16v engine thread

Well,
I thought I would actually do a thread about the 16v engine so here goes!
I got the engine off Tim Pink, who had already done a lot of the work to put it in!!!
He's already modified a swift manifold to fit with an SU...
... and modded the distributor housing to take a standard Sammy dizzy...
Noticed yesterday that the engine is fitted with an oil cooler attachment, so it looks like I will end up running an oil cooler!
I've just cleaned the engine up so far, but the first thing I have noticed is that the engine is originally from a horizontally-opposed-engine-car... so the top radiator hose pipe comes out the back of the engine...
I popped down the scrapyard and found the perfect connector, as the samurai one is about 10mm too big!
As you can see, the one that was on it points straight back into the bulk head, and the one I've put on it now points out to the drivers side
For future reference, I nabbed the connector from a 1000cc Suzuki Alto GL
Now I've also taken off the viscous fan. I've got an electric fan anyway so don't need the viscous one on there any more!!!
