lockright locker in both diffs?
Will the Suzuki SJ / Samurai Powertrax Lockright Differential Locker fit in the front and rear diffs in my samurai?

Re: lockright locker in both diffs?
I think it depends on the year/axle but must be possible I know one that has both fitted.

I've no idea but I know the guy that fitted the front one to his had to change axles for some reason to make it fit.

Re: lockright locker in both diffs?
Don't quote me on this, but I don't think the 86-88 samurai is actually a samurai at all - I think it's just a 413, with narrower axles.
I say this because I have an 88 SJ413 which had the narrower 413 axles on it - the Samurai has slightly wider axles (as does my SJ413 now!) - although I *think* the diffs in them are the same size, if slightly different ratios (they're swappable, but not mix and match - stick with 413 or sammy diffs in BOTH axles).
I'm pretty sure the lockrights will fit in any 413, Samurai or Jimny. That's what I've been told, anyway. Same model as Suzuki hasn't done much to change the diffs over the years.
410 ones defo won't fit though.
I think jimnybits sell the lockrights cheap as chips - if the richmond website is confusing, perhaps try emailing jimnybits? They should know what'll fit into what.

Re: lockright locker in both diffs?
The 86-88 samurai is definitely a samurai, with the wider axles and higher ratio diffs
During these years they produced Samurais and 413s at the same time.
I dont think they continued production of the 413 or standard samurai after '88 or '89.
In 1990 they started making the Samurai Sport instead. (Facelift model)
You are correct in saying they are the same diffs apart from the different ratio.

Re: lockright locker in both diffs?
Thanks, twiss. That clears up some confusion. So Sammies and 413s have the same differentials, just slightly different ring gear ratio? That would mean the locker will definitely fit.
