rev counter is not working now its gone up the swaney!!!

rev counter is not working - dont think its not connected but i have the 8v vit lump , and were do/ is it meant to be connected up to ?

Normally goes to the coil negative terminal. I would give that a try.

Well, it looks like it works the same way the one I've designed does. Takes the LT frequency as an input. As he said, it should work provided there's no gremlins in the system.

I think so. It takes it's input from the same place as mine, and mine works.

im not that good at diagrams pal!
ive got the brown and white wire comming out of the original loom and thats it and its been cut off ? tried putting into the coil were suggest and got nothing...
does it have to go through a noise supressor or something ?

That would probably depend on the one you've bought as to whether it need to go through the suppressor. Given your old one stopped working the suppressor is one of the things that could have broken though.
