I need a snorkel!

Post by ScottieJ » Mon Nov 26, 2012 9:03 am

Had to go check on the cows for Karis yesterday becasue the road was a bit flooded

However I now have a strange noise coming from my engine that I need to investigate, not sure what it is but it sounds rough! dont think i took on any water though as my air filter was still dry after the wading

Haha gotta love driving thru lakes that used to be roads! It's a bit on the damp side here in Dorset too so after I've done my door handle (won't be long Scottie), and my uprated alternator, fitted the new roof.... I will get there.. honestly

Then it'll be snorkel time!

I'm in southampton at the moment. But im hoping all the water im hearing about on the radio is still in the north east when i get home. It'll be great. I'll be the only motor on the road.

When I went out to mine at 5 in the morning today the drivers footwell had an inch of water in it. I really need to get that leak found and plugged because that was only 3 days that took.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I use that method scottie.

Great for draining her out. Shame it fills up so quickly. Soggy boots soon dry. Lol

I leave the bung out when I'm not in the zuki and put it back in when I'm driving so I don't get a draught up me leg  and so the sj doesn't fill up as quick when wading. if I was in eds scenario with carpets in and didn't really take the sj offroad I'd leave it permanently out if I had a leak.
