It breaks my heart....
Ok, not quite that bad. Just been ebaying for bump stops and messaging all those who are breaking them.
Seems to be so many Zuks just rotting away in fields. Shame really. Especially seen as no one seems to have a set of bump stops.

Theres a guy down in hampshire he's got about 30 of them in a field just rotting away. all offroaders with lift kits roll bars etc..! very pricey though!
Re: It breaks my heart....
Yeah there's so many people breaking them nowadays it's going a bit mad! Some of them would only take a few weekends of welding to get back on the road for a few years as well, nothing wrong with breaking rot boxes though, we all need spares somehow!
Ollie Secker on here just broke one and in the pic it still had bumpstops http://www.facebook.com/groups/234729756608531/

Bloke stopped me outside the house one day and asked me to sell mine to a yard near me so they could brake it. I know its not the best looking but at that time it didnt look to bad.
Their yard was full of them some looked mint some were even rot free

Re: It breaks my heart....
why break them though soon there will be no demand for parts the club needs to get involved with america i think and start getting the new parts they manufacture so we can stop people breaking them even though it is easy money. its better to keep them for when they are worth like a million each a haha

Re: It breaks my heart....
unfortunately the bigger picture is that people like us who are proper fans make up a tiny percentage of owners and a lot of people are using them for a cheap disposable thrill.
When compared to the amount of actual proper fans there are there are loads left.

Coming soon: YJs, Trussed axles, Full float rear.
Re: It breaks my heart....
Eventually there will be few Sj's left due to most being broken, a saturation of the parts market means cheap parts for those with an Sj, and with less Sj vehicles available it will push the price of Sj's up.
So tbh I'd say it's win win, Sj's are cheap and won't depreciate much more tbh.

Re: It breaks my heart....
I've seen that guy advertising on ebay.
Round my way they are like rocking horse sh!t. I know a bloke who has a few in his yard but there his and his mates. There's a few folks use them for pay n play and green laning but most are landys.
Thats one of the reasons i bought the KJA, it's a rare classic. More of a restoration than a modification proj.
I got some bump stops eventually cheers. Even fitted them.
