Making Vitara Removable Hard Tops in UK - maybe soon

I am looking at manufacturing fibreglass removable hard tops for Vits in the UK and selling thru Europe. I would like to know what you people out there are looking for. What level of finish, what sort of price, one piece or two piece or three piece. With or without side windows.. sliding or not? What if its Black Black or Black? is that ok?..
Would you rather buy a kit or a fully finished item.

At the moment the available moulds seem to be one piece top. Front to rear over the rollbar. What if we had two piece with front and two types of rear.. Fastback and conventional with rear lift up window? Is two piece (plus rear window) better than one piece plus rear window?

would these just be for vitaras? as i think most here use sj's?

a 2 peice top would be alot better than a 1 peice

i would not think it be worth making them for sj's as you can pick used ones up quite cheap but vit ones are expensive & if you could make them for jimny's i think they would be a good seller

Hmm, well I havnt had as much luck finding a cheap sj one tbh. I was bidding on a nice one once on ebay and it went for over £200! Be nice if you could make some sj ones aswell.

Did anything come of this idea? Vit hard tops are getting harder to find - new manufacturer would be great.

Nope, nothing at all, but if I succeed in making mine I will happily give out the blueprints to anyone who wants them. Don't hold your breath, it might take a little while

Ill make them dont have the fasilitys at presant to make them from fiber glass but if youre happy to have them made from paper mache place your order lol
