Carb Yet Again

Post by Gardiner » Fri Dec 28, 2012 6:39 pm

Ok so today fired her up and adjusted timing to 10 deg BDTC done tappets etc and she purrs lovely.
Problem is Revving and adjusting mixture I have followed all the things I have read on internet and to no avail.
So i am edging towards carb not playing ball so I am now thinking get a original carb and manifold and see what difference it makes what model Vitara should i be looking for for the Donor Carb and Manifold.
Many Thanks

To be honest you'll probably have better luck servicing and rebuding the SU carb. Chances of finding a good original carb is probably pretty slim.

Can you post up some detailed pictures of your carb set up please?

These are quite simple carbs so I'm sure we can work something out.
