I shall re phrase question as I was trying to do on phone.
Is there any issues swapping a 1986 413 Samurai engine into 1984 410 Santana
So far all I can see is the bracket for engine mounting in slightly different position is this correct.
Would it the matter of re-welding bracket on chassis off the Samurai ?
Any more hints tips etc would be appreciated.

should be a straight swap but are you going to use the 410 gearbox because i dont think the 413 lump will fit it.

This may be helpful as what needs to be done to take the 5 speed box
(assuming your chassis has the 2 fork mountings at present)
I' sure there are other ways of doing it, but this good as it requires no chassis modifications

I don't know if it's possible to mount the flat plate further back across the 410 chassis forks and still use the original 5 speed mounting arm ??
Maybe need to be stepped to get the correct hight ???

The engine mounts will need modding to fit the 1.3, that guide is about just fitting a 5 speed 410 gearbox hybrid. It's a lot easier to fit it all if you have the later 410 with the newer gearbox mount.
either way I think it will be quite an easy conversion with only a small it of fabrication involved if you have everything out of a 1.3.
