diffs
hi all iv just blown my frunt diff up.
are all the diffs the same as i have a set off 410 diffs a set off 413 santana diffs set off vit diffs an one sammy diff,
my anus is a sammy an i will most probaly use the sammy one as is a easy swap less work but i was wondering if there
wood be a advantage to useing the others better ratio stronger ect. any help welcome.
iv got a 1.6lump a 1.3 santana g-box 1.0 t-box, an sammy difs one f**ked lol.

Re: diffs
well one advantage wood be that the 410 dif is at a lower ratio there for giving more torque,
i was thinking they was dif splines but i wanna no for sur, can i change the ring and pinions from
the 410 to the sammy diff, also sammys have 4 spider gears un like the standard 3 making the sammy one
stronger. wot wood i gain for fitting the vit ring and pinions, y only the front ones????

Re: diffs
Fitting the vit ring and pinions will lower the gearing if a sammy diff, and you can only use the ring and pinions out of the front. I dont know if the 410 will fit or not.
If you want to swap a rear diff for a front diff i have a front hear. Byt yes the rear will fit in the front but you have to change the crown gears to ones from a front diff.

Re: diffs
410 diffs won't fit in a sammy axle, nor the ring and pinions, 413 diffs are the same size as sammy diffs but the diff ratios are different and the spline count on the front diff on a sammy is different to the rear.
It would prob be easier to just get a complete front diff instead of swapping the crown gears because if you don't get the backlash and bearing pre load correct when rebuilding it the diff won't last very long.
