hey up, sounds like your dim/dip unit has died and needs disconnecting, its in the passenger footwell and has cooling fins on, to be honest it isn't required and isnt fitted on later sj's

Re: HELP .headlights staying on??
sorted the light proplem now!.. on the main connector block from the stalks, there was a wire carrying a live feed from the loom up to the stalks, indoing so giving the headlights a supply. im sure it was a green/yellow, but being really coloured blind, im not 100%. theres no dim/dip on my truck, but there was a odd locking relay buy the o/s headlight which is what through me.. Headlights staying on seems to be a commonish fault on zuks, hope this may help some others ..
