Falling apart faster than I can put it back together

Post by Edweird » Sat Apr 13, 2013 3:12 am

Evening folks.

Not in the best of moods right now. :pissed: Been dip-shitting about all fucking day for these Turks and their pizza shop where I work, starting from 10am yesterday morning (Friday) 'til about 2am this morning (Saturday).

Anyway, long story short as I don't want to fill up the thread on my frustrating, noxious body-odour, kebab and misery filled day, on my way home finally just after two and I hear this soft repetitive clatter. Check both front doors, they're shut properly. The noise persists. Look over my shoulder and the passenger side rear window is flapping open and closed.

I pull over and go round to have a look. There's some kind of little clip/press stud/lug thing fallen off the outside of the window. The lever mechanism that usually holds the window open or shut is fine, but the little cap thing that holds the window to it has disappeared.

I haven't even managed to get the fucking bumper painted black yet because of Uni and something else has already gone. :argh:

SO, does anyone think they might have the bit that I need and wouldn't mind sticking it in first class for me? Obviously I'll have to manage without until Monday/Tuesday at the very least but I could really do with this bit sharp-ish as I don't want a shattered window to be my next problem, or someone getting in through it as I've currently just got a bit of thick wire I pulled from my FUBAR'd rear window heater holding it shut.

I think the lever bit is alright, it's the bit on the outside that clamps the window to it.

If you've got one and the lever mech that goes with it I'll happily have the whole thing. I'll just see what Jordi comes up with first.
