Styling ideas please!

Post by timwilks13 » Thu Jul 18, 2013 10:58 am

Basically i dont want to put the front bumper back on, but since i took it off, the front indicators and parking lights have been cable tied into position. I need to mount them properly somewhere, or put in some different style ones. Just wandering what sort of thing other people have done, if anything, regarding this?! Also i want to cut off these ends, that wont be a problem structurally will it?

Any HGV motor factors will sell small side lights as used on trailers. Normally only a couple of quid each.

Dan has some very tidy little LED mounted in the front wing corners.

You coyld get small led marker lights like twisses or you could get side light rubber bulb holder and drill it into the back of headlamp bowl and then run motorbike indiacators like scott has done similiar.

I've got some side repeaters drilled through the wing.

One pair with yellow bulbs and one pair with white was a few quid a pair off ebay.

universal motorbike indicators, I haven't changed the bulbs in 7 years and they have been drowned a lot of times.

My sidelights are in my headlights as run mk2 golf headlights, mk1 golf headlights are easier to fit though.

Originally I just drilled a hole into the standard light bowls and then siliconed in some sidelight bulb holders.

I welded a couple of brackets onto the bumper mounts and bolted the lights on. However depending on what size tyres you want to run, dans or scottie's may be a better option

If you can find some similar i'd go with Dans kind. They look really neat and tidy up close. No need to run loads of extra wiring anyway and reasonably out of the way.
