Leaky Transfer Box

I just found that my transfer box seems to be leaking a bit of oil but I can't seem to figure out quite where it's coming from. At first I thought it might be the transfer box oil seal but I can't see any oil in that area. I've cleaned it off a few times and it seems to be leaking from what I think is the speedo sender.

Seeing as I don't actually run a speedometer, I have no cable so not actually certain that it is the sender.

From looking at the image below, is this the sender and if it is the source of the leak, is this something that is a nightmare to do anything about?

Thanks!

Yeah. Thats the speedo out. The little bolt on the bottom is to lock the cable in.

Thanks Jordi

I'm guessing it's the speedo gear oil seal then.

Anyone got any idea where I can get one of these in the UK?

Plenty of people seem to sell them in the States. I guess if I can find the part number I can order one straight from Suzuki. Anyone know a part number?

Pretty sure it's just an O-ring

you'll need to pull the speedo drive out.

Thanks Scottie.

From the looks of the few diagrams I've been able to find, I think I just unscrew the small bolt underneath and pull the speedo drive out right?

Seems suspiciously simple...

By the way, the photos from Wagtail look awesome!

But an absolute MARE in reality.

They tend to sieze into the case. I think I cut a slot into mine to allow me to tap it around bfore pulling it out.

Good luck! ;)

Thanks guys, and thanks Scottie especially for the picture.

Does anyone know if I can do this with the box in the truck or do I have to drop it out? I think I'm going to be lazy and try and do it in situ...
