Afternoon chaps, does anyone know the bolt size for the bolts that connect the body to the chassis please ? If it's any help it has a number 7 on the head :) Thanks in advance, Eddie.

The number 7 denotes it's strength and tightening torque.
Which bolts are you after, not that I have any

Hi Darrell, thanks for taking the time to reply. It's the ones that bolt onto the cross member, the ones that fit into the cone shaped body mount ;)

I'll be honest I'm a bit confused. I've never taken the body off but I believe other than the ends they are captive bolts. If this is the case you would not be able to see a bolt head with a number on it??
The others are standard M10 bolts. My searching says they are 40mm long, but I have no idea.

Plenty of the guys have taken the body off so hopefully they can give you better info later

My take of it ??

Cheers Darrell ;) By the looks of things the ones I am after are the captive bolts. The reason I can see the heads are because the paint covering them has been stripped back :) Problem is though they are welded on so to replace them going to have to get the grinder out instead of just a straight forward unbolt  Also while I'm here, when I have got them sorted and the body ready to back on the chassis I have six hockey puck looking body mounts, I assume they are to with the cone shaped ones ? But how would they go together ?

Odd you should not be able to see the bolt heads for the captive ones? They are under the floor, you can't remove them without cutting holes in your SJ?

Think you can see the heads of the ones behind the front seats that are against the side of the transmission tunnel.

Oh and just to confirm. The info Darrell gave regarding which are captive and which pass through the body is correct.
