I've been trying to identify the lanes from the pics, looks like you did that little network of lanes near Westgate/Middlehope, I'm guessing?? Used to go up Weardale almost every day for work for nearly 20 years!!! I used to sometimes drive a few of the lanes as shortcuts from Sidehead to get to Rookhope or over to Edmundbyers. I once had drive that way as I couldn't get out of the bottom of the valley in Middlehope in 4WD, the tarmac was that icy!!! Fortunately the start of Seeing Syke lane was at the bottom of the valley and is more or less level to the tarmac road at Sidehead. The last time I went down there was on a Lambretta would you believe!!
Did you do Grasshill Causeway, as I was wondering what condition its in these days. Incidentally its the highest road in England.

If there is room for another one on your next trip I'd be up for it.
