SU carb needle fouling jet...?

I've just bought an SU HIF44 off ebay & opened it up to give it a good clean & fit my new needle. On fitting the needle - BDK - i notice that when it is fully down, it blocks the jet completely and gets stuck (even with jet wound in) Is this the wrong jet? And if so which one do i need? .......

Re: Maxxis Trepador...?

Cheers for your replies - i've decided to go for some Recip Trials 30x9.5 and some add-a-leaf springs - i would ideally like some heavy duty lifter springs, but thought i would run the current springs with the lifter shackles until they die! Then i'll think about fiddling a bit more...
Happy days!

Re: Replacement seats for SJ413

I went to see an SJ413 when i was shopping around which had leather electrically adjusted seats from a Vauxhall Carlton - looked quite posh!

Just a thought...

Re: rear brake probs

Cheers mate  Well the shoes look fairly even, but looking through the MOT certificates, last MOT the left brake pipe had to be replaced & it looks like the cylinder is new. But i will have a look at bleeding the right side through. Anythings worth a shot i suppose... Are there any press...

SU carb setup

I have an SJ413 with an SU carb - i'm not too sure which one, but the bloke i got the car from said it was off a triumph of some description. Trouble is that it runs REALLY rich (bloody stinks) - which needle and jet do i need for this? and does anyone have any good links for SU parts?

Cheers
