Re: yj conversion question
if you have a 410 chassis scottie may be able to help if its a 413/samurai then you may be out of luck at the min... don't think anyone's made their own conversion for a sammy yet. there is one in the works but its not completed yet.
if in doubt, FLAT OUT!

I based mine around the standard template kicking about, but just adapted as I went along.
It's quite daunting when you start, but you soon slip into it and make it work to suit your individual truck.
Have a flick through the thread below. It will give you a few ideas.

Re: yj conversion question
Thanks for the help guys my truck is a samurai do you know if the adapter plates are the same for the front and rear
Re: yj conversion question
You can use the same front and rear but personally I prefer to make the front mount differently and move the spring mount 25mm further back.
Re: yj conversion question
Yea supose that would help on approach angles and stuff would you need to re drill the spring perch as well though
Re: yj conversion question
Yeah you redrill the spring perches and Ubolt plates 25mm back to push the axle forwards again.
It's how I did mine and it does help the approach angle.

Re: yj conversion question
thanks for your help scottie i will just need to figure out how to make the front shackle bushes further forward really don't want to go down the missing link route
Re: yj conversion question
I've got a design worked out for that on a samurai, just need to find the time to prototype it, it's easy on a 410.
Re: yj conversion question
i should be able to fabricate something up i just want to try get everything all cut out and do as much as i can while i wait on my springs ariving so I'm not taking up the garage for too long and i get my old man moaning at me again
