and there's your problem, they can work fine but every one I've had has gone in the bin. SU or Weber is a better idea.

I really know that but as a change in circumstances mean my build has gone from what I wanted to a no cost and only what is already in the garage option a new carb is off the agenda. Guess I will live with it for now and keep an eye out for a carb in the future.
