Or top to bottom?!

Seriously though why do you need to cut the cab in half? If its for repair purposes it seems like a backwards step, but if its to see how many cutting disks it takes to cut a cab in half, then its the perfect way to find out.

If its just floor and roof through the door area I reckon it will only take 4 if they are the really narrow good ones.

im going to guess its a case of removing the kja specific bit of the cab
(rear panel and roof down to scuttle top and grafting it onto the front/lower
floor pan of the white soft top. kjas have a return on the back panel
to cover where the standard floor pan bends up to meet the rear floor of
a normal sj. this bit is usually rotten or plated to buggery so cuting it off
is probably easiest. id drill the spot welds out from the scuttle area seem and
sawp the lot over then plug weld it back up.

I'm sure a spot weld drill bit would do a better job of separating the panels although it would take longer. I do remember that Tim Pink cut his in half to extend the cab.

I'm cutting through the bottom of the pillars, along the bulkhead, over the tunnel

About 3 inches above the sills. Replacing the whole floors, tunnel and the bottom foot of the bulkhead.

I think it was the wording that confused people....."chopping in half" sounds like you are either cutting it down the middle lengthways or sideways
