X 90 wheels wanted

Post by alantye » Mon Mar 23, 2015 8:44 am

Hello, just joined the forum, because I'm looking for 4 (preferably, although 3 would do) original wheels for an X-90, with or without tyres.

The offset and width are slightly different from Vitara and Jimny wheels, though the bolt spacing is the same. Since X-90 wheels might be hard to get, if anyone can offer advice as to whether Vitara wheels would be a suitable (and insurer-friendly) substitute, I'd be grateful.

Cheers

Alan Tye

Have you got any pictures of the wheels that you are after?

I've got all sorts of Suzuki wheels in the workshop.

I'm afraid not. I have one of the 5 original heels (the spare, in the boot), so could get that photographed for you though. Can you send me your email address so that I can copy you on a message to my brother-in-law, who will take the photo for you? My email is alantye@gmail.com

What is the difference in width and offset?

As far as I've been able to find out, he standard wheels for the car have 5 bolt holes spaced 5 1/2 inches apart (139.7mm apparently) with an offset of 0 to 10 (it doesn't say what units that is - mm I suppose).
The Vitara and Jimny both have the correct nut spacing, and the Jimny has an offset of '5', but the Vitara wheels are wider, and the Jimny narrower, than the X90.

Vitara, Jimny and SJ all have 5.5" wide rims as standard, except for the 4u2 which had 6" alloy rims. The SJ has 95mm backspacing and the Vitara 110mm.

It seems that the spare was a space saver:

I do have one wheel of the original set, and it's not a space-saver, so it can be used to get the photos/specs of the wheels I need. This is the reason I could just about manage with just three wheels, but would ideally like to get 4.

I now have photos of the wheels I'm after (I have one wheel, and need 3 or 4 more of the same type). I am not sure how to upload photos of the wheels but if any of you can help I can send them as email attachments. My email address is alantye@gmail.com.

I also have a sheet (pdf) with the Suzuki wheel part number if that would be of use. The tyres for them are 195/65 R15.

If anyone can help, please either reply to the post (and let me know how to get the wheel photos to you) or send me an email.

Here's hoping...
