Good stuff...maybe move the fire extinguisher inside the cab? Looks hard to reach where it is.
If it ticks over...leave it

Update, small but it's still progress, I had a look inside the passengers side rear wheel arch and decided to get my wire wheel in, unfortunately it was a lot worse than I thought it would be!

Image

Oh well plenty of work,

Then can you remember this?
Image

Well it went to this,
Image

And then this,
Image

I guess I just have the rest of the arch to do now!

So I've done a little more today,

I was going to start welding, but got carried away with th angle grinder,

First job, cut the rot out of the arch,

Image

Then whilst the grinder was out off with the sill!

And here are both my old sills

Image

More rust & filler than metal!!!!

I started patching the void in my rear arches, and it all seems to be coming together now, I was a little bit disappointed to find a hole in my inner skin (behind my sill) but whats one more patch eh?

Finally a question to all you knowledgeable types, what's the cable for in the passenger side sill? I know drivers side is interior light.....

My handbrake lever switch goes down the right hand side of the vehicle, but I have no idea if that's something someone did to the vehicle after the fact - because it was routed inside the vehicle, under the seat, to a hole in the bulkhead under the door. Didn't look very OEM.

Good call, it is the hand break lever switch,

I had an hour or so today, so the hole in the footwell/inner sill skin

Image

Then the wheel arch.... I ran a bit more weld (it was already tacked in)

Image

Tbh it isn't my best welding, I struggled in the arch being right handed and trying to get my head in, but it's in, a couple more plates and it will be done,

Great work Luke.

I'm seeing a pretty good meet up in 2016 with some of the long term members trucks coming together.
