Need to get some diff protection underneath - the diff is always clean when I get home!
You must tell me were the lanes are around Somerset mate, haven't been up over there before!

There's loads around Wellow, I've only tried a few as i've been on road wheels for a while, but now i've got some chunky AT's on, it's a bit better.
Check out
http://www.bywaymap.com but make sure you check against an O/S Map to ensure they are still legal!

I know all the best routes around the area if anyone fancies meeting up for a day out on the lanes, there's a few that vehicles with smaller tyres might struggle on but we can avoid those if needed.
Better to use
http://www.trailwise.org.uk, its more up to date and lists the restrictions even if you aren't a member. Perfect example of these are the long ford that ends in woollard and the byway that runs past Priston mill near Inglesbatch. They have been closed to vehicles for years yet still show on bywaymap.com

Sweet, yeah byway map is about 3 years out of date unfortunately!
Scottie I'd be happy to pop up round your way for a day, I've done all the lanes around my way 100s of times, the furthest I went laning was Midsomer Norton way then ran out of ideas!

Where exactly are you from, as well as that are a bit further east into wiltshire and there are miles and miles of greenlanes, it has some of the best scenery in the south for laning

Let us know when you are looking to go out! I'm basically standard, with A/T tyres and come "Tow Points" - not really to be recovered from!
