Hi Sherwood - I do have a straight '91 Sami, it's up for sale but I think spoken for. See that one in for sale here, BUT I did just get a very straight (I mean very indeed) '85 SJ410, green soft-top. Here are the 2:
The '91 Sami: the '85 SJ410, about an hour after getting it, and on way back upm A303...fag break I'll say more about the 410 very soon, but sweet as a feckin nut all the way back 180 mls.

Straight n shiny '85 410 soft top.

Very nice tintop there, what year etc? I reckon the green is great, quite period - don't see green anything these days.
And we need to start a 'straight is great' group on here Any more joining in ??

'Straight Is Great' I like it! maybe a new forum sub-heading
Mine's an '87 SJ410 VBJA, 63k miles, 3 owners, mostly stock apart from electronic ignition!
Your 410 looks sweet, barely used and garaged?

the green 410 is totally new to me (yesterday) so just getting to know it. 61k miles with loads of MOTs and some history. I need to live with it a while but so far I feel a clutch coming on, and the gear selection is really sloppy though the box itself is good. I'll get more pics etc and do a thread later.

I'd like to think mines pretty 'unmolested'
Although it isn't standard, it's a lot more standard than some, the majority of the mods I've made are reversible, the lift kit is a bolt on item, the transfer box is low ratio (but I have the original) the wheels are 15" like stock and keeping the standard bumpers is a conscious decision. I like the standard looks of SJ's and wanted to keep that, but I wanted to put my own twist on it, if I ever get bored with it I should be able to switch it back to standard pretty easily,
