Yes, that'll be your biggest worry, doing mods that don't encourage rust, I believe the 6yrs anti-perforation warranty covers rust from the internal to external of a panel.

Don't forget the pics! :D

The first mods I did to my Jimny was diff breathers, and that was about it, I often offroad - greenlaning only, and it performs brilliantly so far, only had to replace all the bloody bearings!!

First mods are

1) Towbar (with recover points added at the extremes where the tow cross bar goes across)
2) Fuel tank under belly guard
3) Front Diff guard
4) Transfer box guard

All these I understand are bolt on only, no holes to drill etc so should not be a issue even if had to remove.
I think it would be hard to say that, for example a engine problem was caused by adding protection and if I bent something that would have been protected (if I hadn't fitted these) it wouldn't be covered by warranty anyway.

Anyway got my collection date and ist !!!!!!!!!!!!! TOMORROW. Has only taken 3 days from order rather then the 2 weeks they indicated so cant wait.
Collecting at 9:00 so lets see how long it stops white :cowboy::

Morning Folks

Picked it up on Saturday early, 9:30

First impressions now had chance to use more, done 350 miles this weekend are

Compared to my wifes 4x4 (road going)

1) Its slow
2) Its noisy
3) Handling is poor
4) Ride is terrible
5) Came with fault, left radio speaker doesn't work :)

AND I LOVE IT, so different to my wife's car it really is fun.
Not had any chance to take it off road yet, it still looks mostly white! but that will be resolved soon.

Oh and few positives
4) Its better in fuel than I expected
5) If you read the reviews you would buy one, but now I have I think its going to be a really fun car

And YES, Ill take some pics and put on. Was supposed to do yesterday but by the time I got home it was dark so PROMISE ill take some pics this weekend when it light :)

Next plan is get the underbody protection and tow bar fitted then see if there are any "newby" green land trip on in the North.

Regards Gary

I think early ones have a gearstick and later have a switch?
