When it comes to welding repair it all depends on the standard you want. Most rot can be ignored and the worst bits plated to an mot standard which is what alot of people are happy with. The vehicle lasts a few years and then gets sold on.
Most of the sj projects on here get some pretty indepth welding repairs done to a high standard with the intention of ridding the vehicle of rot for good. So dont be to put off when you read the projects that have had most of the body chopped out for repair.
My thread called "turq zook" shows how one that look good can be hidding alot of nastys.
Also any adverts that include things like "off road beast" or " mini monster truck " the suzuki is probably going to be a turd.
