I recently helped a mate fibreglass in a few big holes in an old transit, but we cut the rust out first. Nought wrong with fibreglass in a body on chassis vehicle, as long as you clean up the metal first and seal it so it doesn't just rust from the inside out. Better to weld in new metal, sure - but we didn't have a welder delicate enough (only had an ARC welder that just blew holes through the body the moment you touched it, even on min settings), and the MOT was looming...

:D

What happened was , i rolled the zuk out of the barn to back the disco in and as reversing in i swang the front round and the two front corners met and the disco got all out of shape. Zuk was fine.

Straightened out fine, then the following day i was in a really tight multistory carpark and nudged a barrier on the exit ramp and pushed it all out of shape again.

Were you meaning to do a complete resto job when you bought it, or is it just in your blood to make rustbuckets all shiney?
