Not so much for the spares but so when it won't start on a morning you can still walk to work and be on time.
I'll have you know it starts just lovely.
Its the moving forward part its not so good at currently. :D

I'm going for the street, centre console is out.
Someone's hacked it before. Just got to grab some tools tonight from the barn and will tinker with it after work this week.

Today I layed some sheets down and degrease the box as it's covered on congealed mud and most fluids that should be in the car.

I used comma hyperclean and must say its
Probably the first engine degreaser I've used that actually does something.

Sorted it yet?

Or should we send someone to check if he is stuck under a gearbox, under a disco at the road side?

Not yet.

Just degreased it today and removed the gear lever and Had a think. I've kinda formed a plan. I've nabbed tools and a spare fork from the barn but couldn't get the jack and stands in the jimny.

Slight concern was when I went to the barn there
Was random eastern European bloke walking on the farm. Claimed he was lost and trying to find Milton Keynes and his brother. Mk is about 12miles miles away so I'm calling b.s.

Anyone whos been to visit me would know that the farms not exactly near anything, so how he got there is a mistery but I think he's probably looking for stuff to pinch or diesel. The farmer escorted him to the road and pointed him which way to walk.

Sounds dodgy Andy. The farm is well hidden, the barns even more so, especially with private gated access

Yeah that is a bit odd. Your place is bang splat in the middle of nowhere. If he was going to nick something though how would he move it with no car?
If it ticks over...leave it

Maybe it was a car he wanted to pinch?

Well no issues up the farm so far, had some people sniffing around the disco at home and neighbours work van the other night. Twats.

Its not going anywhere tho as its still broken! :hahaha:

Just didn't bother for a week or two. Got a new fork and on Monday just gone I did the studding and jack technique. Which works well but.. .
The person who had fitted the clutch and fork previously didn't bother to fix the pivot which has worn completely flat. Instead they put a new arm in and this has now worn through. So new or better pivot to be fitted.

So as its coming out I may as well build the new box and tbox at work and sort it all out in one lump.

Ohh and i went with the street in the end.

Sunday saw my mate and I rebuilding
The tbox (him) and the gearbox (me)
New seals, bearings, a hot wash and sandblast/paint.

New clutch picked up from work too,
Popped to old work and nabbed some oils.
And some grease. And I think its ready to go in tomorrow.

Yesterday I took the old tbox and gbox out in one lump ready to go to work in PX for the parts in my new box's.

Cost so far

Profit from gearbox shenanigans £120
Value of tbx and gbox from disco £150
Budget total £270

Minus

Parts for box's rebuild £130
Clutch £50
Lubes and grease etc £35
Master and slave cylinders £55

Total cost £0

Time taken, 4 weeks :hahaha:

Another day another car I own with no MOT.

Yep the disco is now out of ticket, I booked a week off to do the patch fest of welding but its so bad I decided it would be a waste of time. And that the time would be better spent getting the Dyane's welding done properly. Then I can weld new panels In on the disco rather that plating the shit out of it.

So today I purchased a run about,

Its peppermint green,
small and has two doors,
Requires no welding,
Its petrol, pwhooooarrrr sporty!

Its also the newest car I have ever purchased, Look at me all high tech and up market!

Okay
Its a £100, 2004 Vauxhall corsa.

Can tick that one off the shite cars to own list now.
