I've not changed much on the zuke recently, just general repairs and making the most of it being on the road.
However since I got it back on the road I have fitted vitara callipers and discs to the front and upgraded the washer jets; it now has twin washer bottles, so that there is a seperate jet of water for each wiper :D just need to finish it off by running the flexi pipe through the bulkhead and out of the scuttle to tidy it all up.

well it's about time I fitted a decent roll cage so i've just been on the phone to rob at the offroad armooury and he's bending me up the two main hoops for a 6 point exo cage on his cnc pipe bender  i want it to be upto msa spec so thought i'd get someone else to do the hardest bit, was a pretty good price too!

I'm about to start refurbing some sammy axles to go on it too! Should give me a nice bit of extra width

Been giving the suzuki a good service over the weekend and also did a few more things that have been bugging me for a while now.

Tidied up the washer jet piping

I also thought it was about time to sort out the 'temporary' bulkhead (its been in there 7 months now  ). one old tailgate later and here is what happened :D

Got the zuke back in the workshop the night before last, ready for this years tear down and mods.
Image

The engine has been out for a while so I've been sorting out a few leaks; the usual dizzy housing! changing the cam belt and giving it a clean up
Image

also added an extra return spring to the X-eng handbrake to hopefully solve the cable release problems.

Got a few hours on the zuke today, Started on the front YJ spring mounts

need to trim them a bit so that they sit about 10/20mm further forwards, i'll start the shackle hangers/chassis extension in the week

Image
you can just see here the locating bolt is right at the back of the perch with the mount this far back, i will be re drilling the perches so that the axle is around 30/40mm offset to try and to keep my approach angle good. The YJs are 44" long
Image
here you can see how much longer they are compared to he stock front springs
