Brain fog to the max!
Thanks Alex, for stuff. Erm... For selling me a 1.6 that it turned out I needed badly, and which Andy has recently shoehorned into my SJ.
THANKS ANDY for sorting my SJ!!!!

Re: Anton's build
Seems like the rear seals went! It was relatively clean in that rear casing when I rebuilt it, and that wasn't many miles ago (maybe 1000) although it was a few years ago. There are pics of it somewhere. Been offroad in 'er 4ish times since.
And Jordi - that didn't run. Last time she ran, she got a big orange taxi home. A friend of mine tried to bump start her with a completely dead battery, the rear diff detonated. I swapped the battery and she started on the button, but by then the intake manifold had been split, along with many and various other bits of damage. She puked her guts and seized up (she was only running for a minute!).
Andy said he thinks that because of a bad engine mount, the bump starts caused the engine block to jump up and twist around, and slam back down with such violence that the intake cracked, along with other damage. I think he's right. Then I started her, didn't realise that it puked out all of its oil and that, as they say, was that. Dead engine, mangled rockwatt manifold, mashed rear diff.
And don't look at me regarding those spring perches - if you want to see my handiwork, look at the spring perches on the rear. The front ones are the work of the same guy who tried to bump start her.
