I'm back...

Post by Lersman » Mon Aug 12, 2019 9:07 pm

Evening all..
Was part of the zooki community here a few years ago with a 85 green/rust tin top, but had to park her up in my workshop in need of a bit of attention?? 4 years later after being dismantled body off chassis and life taking over, I took the hard decision to scrap said body and chassis due to excessive tin worm😭but still have all the parts and I've just treated myself to a new base to work on.. think it's know on here Scottie?? 96 Sammi black arb's 35" bighorns

Welcome back, Sounds like you've bought Johns SJ, I know it well and did a lot of work on it for him.

Think these 35" big horns are too much two transfer box seals later.. thinking about swapping for some 32/11.5 and a set of 16" deep dish bit steel's for a tarmac set up?? Got some 413 axles for "on road"

I was always concerned about the axle wrap on the rear tbh, it really needs an anit wrap bar of some sort fitting with spoa, YJs and tyres that size. I did advise this but i'm not sure if one was ever fitted.

I have a anti wrap bar and newish +3 yj springs, gonna go springs under as I prefer the lower center of gravity. I also can't get diff locks to work, so going to pull vit r&p and fit 413 r&p for the time being.. anybody after 5x 35"/12.5" bighorns on max offset black steel rims??? Practically brand new, spare not been fitted??

You just got full access, just need to make 5 posts haha

What seems to be the issue with the difflocks? they are pretty simple so it will more then likely be a valve or compressor issue, there's ot really that much to go worng with ARBs, if the seals go they usually still engage but just leak air so the compressor kicks in more often.

Yeah it was far too tall for my liking, I don't like needing a step ladder to get in and out (im 6'1")
