Here is an LJ80 that I purchased of Mark via eBay earlier in the year. It came with an SJ410 as donor together with various boxes. It will not be a restoration as Mark had already carried out a lot of patching on the bodywork, so it will be a paint and put back together.
It has progressed a bit further than this and I will post up some more pictures as and when.

What a bunch of colour extroverts you are, you have now got me worried on colour choice. Here is one of similar era to LJ80 that I did a few years ago and is about as exciting as I can be when it comes to paint. No prizes.

The LJ80 came with the 8 spoked wheels and one original wheel. I found another set of originals in Germany but the cost plus shipping was out of my league. Then about the same time I came across (eBay) four wheels with Firestone tractor tyres on ????? The wheel centres had been modified/ pushed out/ widened and rewelded. So with a bit (alot) of grinding, hammering (more hammering) precision jig (two bits of MDF) and welding followed by paint. I now have a set of original wheels. Perhaps it would have been easier to go to Germany.

the Eljeeholland website and their restorations is a high bar to achieve but fantastic to see. Sadly my wallet cannot fund their prices so I have to try and upcycle what I come across. This will not be anywhere close to an Eljeeholland restoration. The end result will be a useable LJ80 which will hopefully preserve it for the future.
The four wheels, sand blasting, paint and tyres and disposal of old tyres totalled about £375. (that does ignore my time and running around).
The colour I have chosen for the LJ80 is Olive Yellow (not kermit green) not the Harlequin. Should the grill be off-white to match the wheels?
