Re: Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These were taken on Saterday morning after the first lot of snow
Anyways, after 4 more days of snow the unspoilt stuff is 8" to 12" deep. When I got back to the yard to park my truck up there was about 10"
Its when they all turn up at Pets at home tomorrow and wonder? Why and how has someone been doing donuts in 10" of fresh snow?

I got home too late to take any photos tonight but i've been out for a wee play. It may be a 4WD, but seriously??? Who needs it. I've seen so many people fannying about in £50k range rovers.Anyways, after 4 more days of snow the unspoilt stuff is 8" to 12" deep. Re: Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The untouched stuff here is 2 feet deep now. People have been making igloos. I'll post some pics later.

There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Finished work at 2 today, so went for a look about. These are in Broken Scar car park in Darlington. Approx 10" of snow. Even had to put in 4wd to get back out.

Re: Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've had to walk through almost 2 feet of snow to get to and from work this week. Not good. Punctures still not fixed on Ian. Been looking at another 'sensible' 4x4 for general use/bad weather use but you can't get anything at a decent price at the mo....think every man and his dog are buying one!

Re: Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was given a corker of a job today. Load at otterburn camp, middle of northumberland off the A68. Temp bottomed out at -18 A1 was just sheet ice and once off the A1 it was just snow. Took over 4 hours to get there, usually under 2hrs. Took a couple of fotos to follow but u cant tell how deep it was. Bout 4ft at the road side. 2 to 3 foot in most areas. It was unreal! I would have thought twice going up there in a 4wd never mind a wagon.

Re: Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well the snow seems to be melting off today, there are some effin' huge icicles on the houses behind ours. tbh I'm starting to get fed up with the snow now, me and Mrs Tramp havn't been doing much since the snow came, she doesn't like driving in it (in the grand vitara) and my smart car is snowed in! we havn't had any where to be so we have been sat in the house stewing, the dogs are driving me mad and the Mrs is fed up! On the bright side we've done the christmas decorating and I've got the sega megadrive out and i've been giving it some hammer, (mainly sonic 2 and mickeys castle of illusion) But I will be glad when i can get myself about again,
I do hope this snow comes back next year though when I'm able to get about in the SJ and make the most of it! Its a bit sad for me, probably the best snowfall of my life time and I'm wishing it away!
