I think I would go for the 660 turbo, but for what you want I'd say go for the 16v Vit.

It's a little bit more complicated... and involves a Swift GTi head on a vit 16v block.
If I wanted a vit 16v I would've got one instead of an 8v

Apparently though tis the best engine swap you can do for a Swift, so it's gotta be good for an SJ

I like all the high roof versions of the SJ It would ne nice to have the high roof option in the UK I bet Its quite nice to drive and airy!

Thanks very much for all the warm welcome to the club guys! My zuk's still a very standard '81-'82 LJ 80..the motor is a 660cc non-turbo hence the flat bonnet and hasn't seen much change except for the wheels and freewheel hubs which are AVM..interesting comment on the high roof from a few guys, as many Indonesians don't like it generally and often have it chopped off! I like it plus the head room is nice..a few pics coming of the area and the kind of places that are nice to drive in..I'm dying to take mine over to the dirt track which has been made behind my school when it's really muddy and see what fun can be had!! A few pics of the SJ410 (two) that I am interested in on the way, too, but I would like to leave you this with this for your enjoyment which I never saw in England (ever!) They call it a JANGKRIK here which means 'GRASSHOPPER' and I believe it is an LJ40??? A few around here though and they go for about a grand..I like it but my wife would not approve!

I'm confused

So the blue sj is called an lj80 in Indonesia but is an sj in the UK and the sj40 in Indonesia is called an lj80 everywhere else, we do have them in the UK but they are rare and mostly very rusty

How old is the white one as they are the model before the sj410 over here? I would love it if you could pick a good one up cheaper than an SJ

I'll admit the grill on mine does look like an SJ410 but the docs (if they can be trusted) assure me it's an LJ80, probably right on the 'cusp' of the upgrade to SJ410, at least in this country for that year..definitely more of a question about the old white one with the black bonnet as I don't know about them at all, except they look kind of cool..almost certain the model number for that one is earlier than 'LJ80' in Indo, either way, definitely WAY cheaper to buy here than any SJ

Your blue one is definitely an SJ30, and the white one is definitely an LJ...
probably an LJ80 (also known as SJ20)..., although it might be an LJ50 as they look quite similar (also known as SJ10

Suzuki seem to have different names of models and do different combinations of component changes all over the world so it can be confusing.

Either way you gotta love them and I wish I could pic up a mint LJ for that price
