Windscreen duly folded down - very straightforward as described, part of dash popped-off by wiper moter - as expected, washer pipe trimmed and re-attached. Everything now working as it should. Rubber seals still in pretty good nick especially considering this little SJ has spent all it's life outside and has experienced temperatures from -12 to 35C. Thanks again everyone.
