Basically Ive fitted another used steering box as mine had alot of play in. All has been well for about a week, and around 3 hours of pay and play fun today until the journey home.
I get about 1/4mile down the road and go to turn slowly (thank god) into a junction and it jams up as Im turning I had a fair bit of force on it too. I stopped and backed it off and tried again and it kind of clonked a little and continued to turn!
Not very confidence inspiring to say the least
Could it be the sterring box? Or more likely a ball joint etc?

Re: Steering has a tight spot in
I'm wondering if your barfield joint has broken. This would explain why you have no drive to the front wheels and the broken parts can often stop the joint from swivelling which can lock the steering.
Would have expected a bit of a bang when it broke though, there normally pretty robust.
