Road Spring poly bushes (Avoid REDS)

Post by silverfox » Sun Jul 15, 2012 1:03 pm

Road Spring poly bushes

Avoid the RED ones (they have thinner shoulders and allow the spring to slop about in the spring hangers)

Use the ORANGE ones (see pictures attached)

Are these actual bushes from Polybush themselves?

I bought red ones for mine but they are the same size as your orange ones in that pic,

Hi Highlander.
The point of this post was to alert members to the possiblity that all road spring poly bushes are not the same although they purport to be.
These Red & Orange bushes pictured came from a supplier of road springs for SJ's and they hadn't noticed the difference in collar sizes between the two colours.

I always use Superpro bushes on the racer. They last a full season as opposed to 2-3 races for the alternatives that I have tried. I agree I have not tried every single make, once I tried Superpro there was no need to try any other make! BTW standard rubber bushes last 1 race!
