watola - new member

Hey guys,
I've been stalking the site for a while but since my restoration is getting close to completion I thought I should join.
My name is Sam Watola, 21, from York. Obsessed with Blink-182, I own the second largest collection in the UK!
So I own a Suzuki LJ80, I got it when I was 16 from my uncle, I had to store it on his farm in Wales because we had no space in York. With School, College and Uni I've only had the holidays to restore it. It's taken some time! I have very limited photos because I never thought I would show the restoration process to anyone :( However the next time I'm in York (currently at uni) I'll try to find the few I do have!

Looking forward to seeing some pictures. Is it a hard top or a soft top?

thanks guys, its a soft top LJ but the roof is basically beyond repairing, same with the supporting frame. I haven't made many alterations to the LJ, converting it to disc brakes all round was one of my most benefitting so far. I've got some little tweaks to make, trying to find some front and rear indicators and brake lights are frustrating me!

I have spare lenses and lights ;) how many of each do you need and lll see if I have enough to spare some, as long as I have enough for both the ljs in my workshop and a few spares ill be more than happy to help you out. Also go on eBay.de loads of stuff is available in Germany and master covers in Portsmouth do new soft tops, I might be able to help with a frame as we have a good one that I could possibly replicate.

thanks for the offer scottie, i'll have a check to see how many i actually have lying around. I know i'm missing a few! and i'll have to get in touch with master covers, the LJ may possibly be a daily driver so a top is essential.

Random question: Is this an LJ80? if so was the horizontal grill standard? I've just never seen any others with it... (sorry if it's a dumb question)

No worries

That's odd? Never seen one like that? Only the lj10 had a horizontal grille and its completely different to that one. that looks like it could be aftermarket/custom front end or something?
