Onother Suspension question

Hi guys, i know there are a lot of Suspension questions here, sorry apout that :shock:

I want to get a softer suspenion for comfort.
i have now on:
all stock front, and rear rancho springs with one more leaf at the bottom.
i have also some homemade shackles, but they are rock hard i think is now 1.5 inches high
i was thinking to get a 2 inch calmini leafs i found them at a vvery good price (150 euro 128uk) for compleate 4 corners used, and i will use the stock shackles.

but will it be more hard on the road? what will you guys recommend?

I think calmini springs are rock hard.

To get a softer ride you need longer springs. Rears up front and rascal rears, or like Scottie and Ferris YJ springs.

Softer shocks may also help.

What Jordi said, calmini springs are known for being very stiff.

A lot of lift springs are unfortunately, old man emu are probably the softest.

Another option is to run rears up front and then longer shackles on the rear to even the height or anus CJ/YJs on the rear with ruf etc.

Probably a bit expensive to ship but i find Llama 4x4 springs pretty comfy.

i was thinking run rears front but i will need the 2 inch height also, here in cyprus
you get the same price for stock leaf springs and the price of a aftermarked one.
yep they are expensive to ship here, is vey hard to find the same parts as you guys,
i checked the Llama 4x4 and and they are very nice man! Jordi can you please get a quote
for how much will cost to ship to cyprus? used or new i dont care.

He's running YJs on custom spring mounts and shackles.

Longer springs also give more flex. Sam16v is running CJ springs i think.

I run YJs all round, might be worth dropping Cyprus Geoff a message, I think he is planning on doing a YJ swap and he's also in Cyprus.

This is mine with the YJs spua and 9.5" travel shocks (need some 12" travel shocks really I think)

On road comfort is awesome with YJs :mrgreen:

my budget is apout 400 i need to save money for going Lathe lessons in Lithuania.

YJs are a good swap. Readily available most places. Rocky road in america do a bolt on kit. From what i can gather off Scott so long as you are ok with metal work its not too major to make your own kit.

I had a good look at Scotts the other week and it's well tidy. Had a little drive and does feel softer than mine. Not really a fair comparison though as they are two completely different machines.
