Evening everyone
Have been browsing through the site in recent months and im amazed at the dedication people have and the potential of these lil suzukis. Iv owned her for 2 years as a daily commute. Really pleased with her, never let me down. Impressive offroad performance and awesome during the snow, floods etc.
Although now the leaf springs have seen better days and the rust is getting worse iv been looking at the options available. Im torn between restoring her as im not sure if there are many of the commercials around and id hate to ruin a perfectly good sj. Or.. wander down the virtual lift path with longer leafs etc. Really in two minds with it all but think im more than capable seeing the amount of information and support there is on scuk. Would be great to here some feedback? Here a couple pics oc my lil sammy.

from next door in Wiltshire just take your time and don't rush your decision, I've done and helped with a few virtual lifts now so can help out with any advice you might need taking that route.

Welcome to the club.
It looks very tidy. Restoration/original is a hard decision to make. It all depends on your budget and requirements from your little Zuk.
As Scott says take your time thinking about what you will use it for and future plans for it.

Welcome to SCUK.
If you are going to use it as an offroad toy then I would say virtual lift it. The arches will only rot out anyway if left standard and the nice paint wont last long.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I wont be wrecking her. Its my 3rd sj and the best by far. I plan to keep her plodding on as my daily and improve/repair her when i get the time. Partner and two children now consume alot of my time. With the amount of rust on the suzuki im tempted to wait til she fails mot on the bodywork then address it as a whole, id like to remove the body to gain complete access to the underside but unsure if removing the body and laying it on its side would damage/twist it in any way? Welding upside down isnt the most enjoyable iv found. Id also like to have more flex because these suzuki are awesome but i find once my wheel lift up, my progress holts. Those diff locks look to solve this my cant justify the money for the use. So she says.. I like the rears up front method as it seems cheap but effective. I do like to tinker so knocking up some missing looks would keep me wuite for a while. Would anyone have the dimensions of the front spring mount? ( the tube that the bushes fit into on the chassis? Here are a few pics of the state of things. It has had work to sills and arches previously to me owning her. Thanks for your time would be great to here your thoughts.
