steering column bush, where can I get one?

Post by Jay18 » Sat Jul 06, 2013 7:31 pm

basically I can grab my steering bar ( that goes from steering column to the steering box) and move it up and down left and right inside the steering column and need to fix it, so does anyone know where I can get a new one or a steering column that has no play in it..

Been having a look and it shows 2 types for the 410. One has replaceable bushes.
From what I can find the one with the replaceable bushes is not European and is a solid column.
I can only assume all the European ones are collapsible and therefore they don't come apart.
This is only my thinking so I could well be wrong..

Still can't work out why it goes up and down, surely the steering box won't allow that :er: ,side to side yes :S

basically, the shaft that goes from my steering column to the steering box, if I hold the shaft closer to the steering column I can move it around inside the column..

ahh, this is awkward to explain lol is the steering column that has play in it, I do need to adjust the steering box anyway as I think that's part of my wandering problem..

would love to do pas but I think I'd use all the power from the f10a lol I need to get the f10a running spot on an use it for a year, then it's upgrade car time, want to stay with suzuki though..

no that's fine, I mean the bush inside the column, as shown in the diagram in darrell's diagram, the bottom bush needs replacing as its worn and there is play in it, I will make a video tomorrow to show you what I mean lol..

I hope it's not the shear pins gone.
Haven't been beating up the steering wheel lately ;) ??

The double tube column can't be stripped down according to the manual
