Temp Fan Belt

Could anyone give me any tips as my fan belt snapped and I'd like to get it down to a garage. What can as I use as a temp?

womens tights or stockings, or you can buy a temp.. to fit a new belt,, you first need to slacken the altnator mounting bolts, (there should be two underneith) and the adjuster bracket were there is a further one more bolt. push the altanator towards the block, slip on the new belt, then you need a lever to pull the altanator away from the block so you can tension the belt. once you have about a inch of play in the belt, tighten all the bolts back up.
