Smell of petrol but no leaks ?

Hi guy's, have been having trouble with fuel system, can u help ? Checked fuel filter and it looks ok, checked for leaks but find none, blown lines through seem ok but sj seems to run better when the fuel cap is OFF and there is a smell of petrol around the back after she's been stood for a while :er:

Possible that the breather pipe or fuel return pipe on the top of the tank has rotted through.

sort of what i susspected but hoped not !! looksa like tank off time. Thanks for ur advice

You don't need to drop the tank, the breather vents off the filler neck under the cover in the back of the Sj.
