That does sound better than "I cocked up and put one of them on backwards" so we'll go with that.Ladaman wrote:It helps you to reverse out when stuck

Re: Anton's build
You were right to question it, it's better to say something about a possible problem with someone's truck (especially brakes) than read about them in the obituaries.
I'll get something done about those bumpstops. I'm not sure when though, I have so little time lately...

Re: Anton's build
My SJ doing an impression of a Land Rover...
Finally got the last tyre on the right way around, after a wheel started leaking air past its valve - replaced the valve and took the opportunity to get all the tyres on the right way around.
Pulled the starter and the temperature sender to fix those too.
Gonna try rebuilding the starter soon, and the temp sender's connector snapped - so I'll do something about that (not sure what, but I'll do something).
Haven't been around much lately because I was away on a trip to Europe for medical reasons. 9 days, 3 cites, 4 doctors, God knows how many procedures and tests.
Looks like my kidneys and liver are screwed up. Got a list of problems the length of my arm, none of which the NHS could find.
My tests for Lime disease come back Tuesday, hoping they're clear. That would suck like a tornado.

Re: Anton's build
Not good to hear about the health problems mate, but at least temperature senders are cheap

Re: Anton's build
Reconditioned my starter today
Couldn't work out how to get all 4 brushes to sit, so I used the blue wire to seat them, and pulled them through once they were properly in place.
How do you lot do your brushes?
Anyhow, I'll fit that back in the truck tomorrow.
