just bought my first sj samuri :)
well just picked up a sj samuri which hasnt had mot for roughly 5 years and needs alot of work doing to it, but always up for a challenge. hoping to get it back on the road and tearing up lanes again but wont be any time soon.
what does everyone think of it?
and what does everyone think i should do to it?
this is what its already got on it:
1.6 vitara engine
SU carb
Janssped manifold
Spring over axel
Aleybars internal roll cage
Chunky tyres
Bucket seats
Electronic isolator
Electric fuel pump
and a rocklobster transfer box

I've MOT'd worse...move the fire extinguisher to some where you can reach it! On my SJ I removed the parcel shelf and mounted it there. Still a nice truck...and some good mods.
If it ticks over...leave it

yeah i was thinking about attaching it to something in the boot along with a box with all tools i may need for when im out off roading? its the first project ive ever had but my mate who has had a sj for a while now said even if i decide to break it then i will make a bit of a profit. ive got alot of spares for it aswell so im going to make a start on it tommorow as its my day off will upload more pics when i strip out everything.

You need it where you can reach it from the drivers seat...not in the back! Please don't break it, they are getting rarer now...fix it and enjoy it!

You haven't mentioned what it cost. Like I said take out the passenger parcel shelf (it's useless) and mount it on the bar there.

oh ideal, i didnt think it was worth that on the drive home with it haha. the battery is dead but i jump started it and it started first time runs sweet as well.

nice wagon, looks like it has all the performance mods you would need. I would just clean it up, and get it up to scratch for a MOT. also looks like you need new king pin bearings, because your wheels are on a lean on the front
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out
