An X 90 is basically a Vitara SWB Coupé right? If you can't just drop out the prop, what about fitting free wheeling front hubs?

I read a big article about using X90s as rally cars... but I think it may have to be a model that was 2wd originally.
May be worth checking that in the rally regulations before splashing out on the 4wd model :)

4 WD cars have to be mechanically converted to two wheel drive - you can not just say you will not move the lever ! I don't think I need the extra weight of the front driven wheels / transfer box so will buy a two wheel drive model.

Weight would be my primary concern. Also transfer box gears sap power. Could do without that too.

Is this for the Exeter trial? I know that there are a few X90s running in that event.
